FAQ's

Massage Therapy

We ask that you undress to your comfort level. Under garments are ok to wear, and you will be under a sheet and draped except for what is being worked on. We make sure you feel as comfortable as possible.
Massage therapy provides relief for so many things! Relief of pain and tension of the muscles and joints, reduces arthritis inflammation and inflammation in general, reduction of muscle tension, relief of headaches, helps with reducing stress, helping treat anxiety and depression, improvement of range of motion and assisting in improving your quality of life, lowers blood pressure and more!
This is dependent upon what areas of concerns are being treated. The massage therapist will go over with you suggestions on the time frame you should be back. If it is something that will take time and should be more frequent, we may suggest 1-2 weeks. Most people like to get to a maintenance point of every 4 weeks.

Halo Therapy

Helps build your immune system, helps with lung function, relief from allergies, clears out bacteria from your nasal passages, helps with chronic conditions, treat depression and anxiety, relief of inflammation, reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, helps with skin conditions such as: eczema, psoriasis, acne, aging and more, and reduces symptoms of COPD, Cystic Fibrosis, Asthma, Sinusitis and more!
Wear comfortable clothing. You will be given a blanket if you'd like one, as the temperature is kept between 68-69 degrees at all times. Shoes are not allowed in the cave, unless you request a blue booty that goes around your shoes if your shoes are not wet from outside. Otherwise you can walk in barefoot, with socks, or for purchase we have warm, fuzzy socks or rubber slippers you can also wear in the cave. *No liquids are welcome in the salt cave.
Consuming too much salt is linked to high blood pressure. With salt therapy, you are inhaling a dry salt aerosol which only enters your respiratory system not your digestion tract. The salt particles are so fine that even if you were to eat that amount it would not pose a risk to your health.
Due to the salt being dry, some people get a dry or scratchy throat. Water and mints are available if desired. If someone were to couch up some mucus throughout the day, that is a good sign the salt therapy has been working as it detoxes your lungs and clears all of that out. These are very minor and do not happen to everyone. There is absolutely no health risk associated with halotherapy.
Salt naturally absorbs bacteria. The walls and floor of the salt cave are covered with salt which creates a sterile environment. In addition, our ventilation system works throughout the entire session to circulate the air in the room, exhausting used air out and clean, fresh air in. Chairs and anything touched are wiped down in between each session.
Depending on what you are wanting to use it for, generally every 2 weeks is ideal. If you're needing it for more in depth healing such as for severe inflammation or chronic conditions, you may have up to 2 or 3 sessions per week. Some people like to use it every 2-4 weeks for maintenance.
